When I can I like to be involved in any sort of effort to raise the profile of art. I believe that being creative and expressive brings joy but the effort of bringing an idea to fruition also needs inventiveness, determination and perseverance and self motivation, all of which are strengths in all areas of life and work. Being creative can calm and inspire the maker and the work of creative people, whether in their garden, their writing or their sculptures is what makes life worth living for everyone else.

Voluntary Work

In 2008 and 2009 I worked on a project for Grove House Hospice with women recovering from breast cancer, this was over a period of four weeks. Although I missed 2010 due to work commitments, it is something I hope to continue with.

I also run an Arts Award programme voluntarily. Please look at www.artsaward.org.uk
